"Sharing my story isn't easy, and will never be easy. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't easy, but when you know it's the right thing to do,and you have a desire to help others, You do it. You do the hard thing."
Welcome to my Speaker page.
I've loved telling stories for as long as I can remember. In 1996, I took that love a step further and turned it into a career, leaving nursing, waitressing, bartending, and every odd job I'd ever had (selling vinyl siding, art, mushrooms, fine leathers...) and began an acting career. For years I LOVED telling other people's stories - through film, television, commercials, stage roles... But something deeper was calling me... the desire to tell my own story was always tugging at my heart.
So in 2017, I took another leap and studied with Bo Eason - a master storyteller whose one-man show toured the world including Broadway. While that was enticing, for me, the icing on the cake was his desire for CONNECTING with his audience, being the BEST version of himself possible, and his passion for using his story to make a DIFFERENCE in the world. We share the same passion and desires.
Many incredible things have come from that training... meeting and becoming close friends with Steven Tyler and Aimee Preston, being asked to tell my very personal recovery story at their Gala to help provide much-needed support to girls who've experienced the same neglect, pain and suffering that I had, but also to be an inspiration to them -to help them remember that our lives are OURS for the making - no matter the circumstances from which we come. We are not what happens to us. We are what we offer the world.
That said, many other incredible opportunies have come from sharing my story... including having pieces of it be written into Bo's new book THERE'S NO PLAN B FOR YOUR A-GAME out Sept. 3rd,, being recruited by a Speaker's Bureau, and having my book(s) published, (stay tuned) but most importantly, being asked by Steven to join his Executive Board for Janie's Fund, the greatest honor of my life.
All these things were beyond my wildest dreams. All from taking leaps and following my heart.
I tell you this so that if you have a desire to follow your heart, you do it. You leap. You trust that the net is so much bigger than your fears. Answer that call. You'll never know what awaits you till you do.
Below are my top keynotes and subjects that are dear to my heart. If you don't see anything suitable, I'm happy to craft out a signature talk for your event/fundraiser.
I can't wait to just get up on stage, and connect with you and your guests...Sharing stories, inspiring Hope, and offering tools for Transformation in the process.
See you soon!
With deep love and gratitude

Beki, Owner, Artist, Author,
If ever there was a time to listen to our own soul’s root need for change and inspiration, it’s now. And the one person with true calling to spread this message is Edie Allen. Sharing her struggle with childhood sexual abuse, Edie intertwines her story from child to, and throughout, her adulthood with an exceptional, innate and powerful ability to gain insight to all the beauty that counters her struggle, while gaining reason and balance through unspeakable pain. Edie possesses the incredible ability to gain perspective on life’s hardships with amazing clarity - something she teaches every one of us. Thus lending us the ability to use this compass within ourselves and transforming all of us into our own heroes.

Edie has an authenticity and a spark that is unique and wonderful. My partner and I first met her when we went to go see her talk at an event called Spirit Talks. We didn't know anything about her but our friends said we had to be there. And indeed, it was amazing. She told her own personal story of courageous resilience seamlessly with so much wisdom and playful wit sprinkled throughout that afterwards my partner and I immediately decided to hire her as a coach. She has been a great support and become a good friend. We also later got to see her perform in Marjorie Prime where she put on a riveting performance in a captivating futuristic story about relationships, death, and ability, or inability, to adapt to change.” -

“I attended Janie’s Fund Gala without really knowing anything about it. All I knew is I was going to a Steven Tyler’s Grammy party, but I quickly learned the meaning behind the event and couldn’t believe the perfect timing, since only 2 months prior I had just come to terms with the fact that I had been sexually abused by my own father when I was only 5 years old. But it wasn’t until I saw Edie on stage and heard her story that I knew I was meant to be there. I needed to hear her words. There was soemthing about the way she told her story, I immediately related to the pain in her eyes, and it felt like she was talking directly to me, only to me. I couldn’t help but start crying, and then kept crying all throughout her speech. I connected with every word, and I felt an immediate sense of hope. At the end of her speech I approached her and told her how moved I was by her story, and she was just as inspiring off-stage and we even cried together. I asked for her number and I recently worked up the courage to call her and she was incredibly kind and sweet. She gave me 2 hours of her time just to listen to me and give me advice on how to move forward. This is the first and only time I’ve ever approached someone who was talking on stage at a gala and I’ve very glad I did. -
